Cleaning Pillows
CUSHION AND CHAIR CUSHION
Pillowcase in 100% cotton
Usually for cotton, washing at 40°C is recommended if it is colored pillowcases and avoid the direct use of bleach on the fabric. The centrifuge must also be set to minimum. For the most resistant stains, you can do a soaking in water, mild detergent and specific stain remover before putting into the washing machine.
Cotton and polyester pillowcase
Do not wash polyester at temperatures above 60°C, to avoid the appearance of heat-induced wrinkles. This material is more or less delicate depending on the composition so we recommend you to use a gentle wash.
Internal pillow
If you have a 100% cotton polyester fiber pillow, you can wash the entire item in the washing machine without separating the individual components, setting a delicate cycle at 40°C. But be careful to wash the pillow in the washing machine alone: Do not insert any other items that could make the basket too heavy. The centrifuge to be set must be moderate, to prevent the fibers from being over stressed.
At the end of the wash it is always important to massage the fiber of the padding to favor its correct repositioning, bringing it to be like new.
Drying
When washing is finished it is important to dry the pillows in the right way: the ideal is to choose a place in the open air and shade. To avoid deformation, the cushions should not be hung but laid out horizontally.
PILLOWS
Memory Foam
It is advisable that the washing procedure of memory foam pillows be entrusted to a professional laundry, which can use dry cleaning or surface or autonomous stain removal procedures. If you want to avoid washing the memory pillows, remove the pillowcase more often and wash it, thus preventing dirt from penetrating deeper, or use a double pillowcase to create an intermediate barrier.
Polyester
If you have a 100% cotton polyester fiber pillow, you can wash the entire item in the washing machine without separating the individual components, setting a delicate cycle at 40°C.
N.B.
It is advisable to read the pillow label carefully and, if necessary, use hand washing or professional cleaning to avoid heat damage.
